Members of FESI (the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry) are combining their efforts to promote skiing for children
Brussels, Belgium – 15 January 2016 World Snow Day is part of the international FIS campaign ‘Bring Children to the Snow’ introduced in 2007. This initiative was joined by FESI and its members, after the signing of a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) in January 2014, between FESI and FIS. Thanks to this agreement, on Sunday the 17th of January 2016 several ski companies are putting their heads together under the coordination of FESI, to promote snow sport activities by taking part in one major World Snow Day event in Cortina, Italy. The latter was selected thanks to its exciting program and proactive bid. Additionally some companies also agreed to continue their collaboration with 2 other World Snow Day events in Falcade, Italy and in Oberwiesenthal, Germany[1].

These companies are organizing demos, offering equipment and technical personnel to World Snow Day. This enables children, who otherwise may not have equipment of their own, to test and explore snow sports for little or no cost.
