Today, the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) officially welcomes a new member, K2 Sports (K2), leader in the creation of innovative winter sports tools. K2 will join the project membership category, alongside many other key brands in the winter sports products sector and will participate in the data collection as part of the unique annual FESI ski market study (Boots, Bindings, Alpine and Touring Skis).
Born in 1962, K2 Sports (K2) is an international portfolio of world-renowned brands recognized as leaders in the innovation of skis, snowboards, snowshoes, skates, and Nordic ski equipment, and accessories. As such, K2 will be a project member of FESI Winter sports task force, taking it to a total number of 24* members and will thus take part in the annual market study conducted by FESI. The next edition of which will be published in the coming weeks.
“I am really happy that one of the key players in the market has joined us at FESI” said René Harrer, Head of FESI Winter sports task force. “The arrival of K2 in our ranks will also allow us to improve the quality of our annual market research, making this unique initiative the most comprehensive report ever produced by FESI”, he added.

With K2, FESI is also becoming an essential player in the ski industry, with nearly 90% of the volume of the market sector represented within the Federation. “This will ensure our policy messages to have a stronger impact on our European partners in the future”, concluded Jérôme Pero, FESI Secretary General.
